Katie's Place is a cat shelter in Maple
Ridge B.C. started by a
volunteer from the West Coast Spay and Neuter Society
(SANS). Katie's
Place is a converted barn whose original resident was
Katie the cat. The
use of Katie's barn was kindly donated by her family.
Katie's Place has
been in operation since January 2001 and houses up to
60 cats. There are
separate areas for the FeLV/FIV+ cats and for the regular
gang. There
are smaller enclosures for new or recuperating cats. More
than 200 cats
have been rescued and adopted out within the last year
and a half.
Katie's Place is no-kill, as is it's parent organization,
SANS. Animals
receive all the veterinary attention they may need for
as long as they
can be expected to enjoy quality of life. See Katie's

"Ahimsa" is a Hindi word meaning
'kindness to all life'. Ahimsa of Texas is a tax-deductible
non-profit organization promoting kindness to all life,
with primary focus on eliminating the euthanasia of healthy
companion animals in our community shelters and animal
pounds. We find ways to promote spay/neuter and to educate
the public about the millions of healthy animals being
killed in this country every minute, every day, for no
reason other than there are more animals than there are
homes for them.

known spyware and scumware components and lets you remove

Some say this is even better than the above mentioned
Ad-Aware. I have tried both and agree.
But I think they are both extremely good products and
