CYA invites your involvement in discussion
and through membership. Fees
are $10 for individuals and $15 each year for families of two or
more. Please refer to the CYA Membership Form.
Your membership fee helps to set
up and maintain this website and the Scratching Post message board.
It also pays for office supplies, mailing and long distance phone
expenses. All CYA directors are unpaid volunteers who are
using their personal computers and other materials to support this
initiative. No perdiems, honorariums, wages or salaries are paid
to any CYA member.

CYA
is pleased to announce that we have become an Amazon.com
affilliate. CYA receives
15% of any purchases made directly from our link to their site.
So please, if you are looking to order from Amazon.com, do it from
here.
Membership in CYA is active support of this initiative. It includes
a membership card, web access to the message board, bulletins, media
alerts and petition forms. Outside of a membership card, the general
public has access to the same information as members do. Ultimately,
membership provides CYA with meaningful financial support to continue
this initiative.
Donations
are also gratefully accepted, as this is a grassroots project that
could languish without sufficient support. If CYA receives an overflow
of support, all monies above operating costs will be kept as savings
and donated to implementation of the Ombudsman Office. In the event
that an ombudsman office never opens, these funds will be donated
to rescue groups who apply for help with medical expenses for animals
in their care. CYA will also accept donations of a fax machine,
paper, ink cartridges, stamps and envelopes. Any office supplies
will help us with this project.
We also invite your hands-on participation
through volunteerism. Please contact CYA via email or snail
mail and let us know how you would like to help. One of our directors
or members will call you back and be happy to utilize your skill
set on this mission.
